Established in 1993 principally as a consultancy service in the field of asbestos hazard and risk management. Our multidisciplinary professional team have recognised expertise in the fields of asbestos and hazardous materials management, occupational hygiene and risk management. Our principal team members have in excess of forty years experience in the asbestos management field.

Identifibre also works together with sister company, Eva and Associates, to provide a wide range of OH&S services to a high standard.

Identifibre was established in early 1993 principally as a consultancy service in the field of asbestos hazard and risk management. Our multidisciplinary professional consultancy team have recognised expertise in the fields of asbestos management, occupational hygiene, risk management, applied chemistry, microbiology, geology and health education.

Our principal team members have in excess of forty years experience in the field, and have been instrumental in setting new standards and developing improved procedures in the asbestos abatement industry. Each of the team members has a demonstrated record of achievement in the asbestos abatement/management area and ongoing consulting relationships with many large corporate and government clients.

The sampling and auditing of sites for the presence of asbestos, the laboratory identification of asbestos in building materials and the provision of estimation of airborne asbestos dust.

 

NSW Licensed Asbestos Assessor


Identifibre Pty Ltd has experienced NSW licensed asbestos assessors. Victorian regulations currently do not require an asbestos assessor licence, however with the harmonised WHS legislation throughout the rest of the country, this licence is also applicable in QLD/SA/TAS/NT. To be eligible for this licence you must be able to demonstrate you have carried out training (or have adequate experience) in the asbestos removal industry over the past two years.

Asbestos assessment and air monitoring are required during all friable (Class A) asbestos removal and for non-friable asbestos removal where a risk assessment indicates that airborne asbestos fibres may result from the removal activity.

WORK SAFELY AT HEIGHTS

Course Code: RIIWHS204D

Work Safely at Heights training is focused on fall prevention rather than fall arrest. It is designed to equip workers with the knowledge and skills to safely work in any height situation, primarily being aimed at general construction, maintenance, mining, large factories or other work situations where work is conducted in a place where a fall from one level to another is possible. The course outline involves;

  • Regulations and legislation
  • Australian Standards
  • Risk assessment and hazard elimination
  • Equipment selection and use
  • Anchor systems, selecting solid and reliable anchorage
  • Fall restraint systems, selection of equipment and correct use

WORKING IN CONFINED SPACES

Working in Confined Spaces course allows you to conduct a risk assessment and enter a confined space to conduct work. The course outline involves;

Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene

 

The overall objective of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene is to help ensure that workplace health hazards are eliminated or controlled. It seeks to achieve this by:

  • Promoting the profession of occupational hygiene in industry, government and the general community.
  • Improving the practice of occupational hygiene and the knowledge, competence and standing of its practitioners.
  • Providing a forum for the exchange of occupational hygiene information and ideas.
  • Promoting the application of occupational hygiene principles to improve and maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all.
  • Representing the profession nationally and internationally.

Master Builders Association

Work Safely in the Construction Industry – White Card

The ‘White Card’ is a term used to describe the nationally-recognised plastic card required by all on-site construction workers in Australia. It is issued by state and territory governments following successful completion of the construction induction course ‘Work Safely in the Construction Industry’, commonly known as White Card training.

All consultants have completed the ‘Work Safely in the Construction Industry’ (White Card) training or the previous format Red Card.

Faculty of Asbestos Management of Australia & New Zealand

FAMANZ provides a professional home for practitioners providing services to the asbestos industry including: occupational hygienists, asbestos removal contractors, environmental consultants, asbestos assessors/surveyors, property managers, demolition contractors, recycling industry operators, disposal contractors, suppliers and allied industries.

The aim of FAMANZ is to:

  • Minimise exposure to airborne respirable asbestos fibres for workers and the general public
  • Pursue excellence for all that who practise in the asbestos assessment, management and abatement professions
  • Establish, develop and maintain standards of competence in asbestos assessment, management and abatement
  • Act as guardians of professional standards and ethics in the profession of asbestos assessment, management and abatement

All consultants are technical or full members of the Faculty of Asbestos Management of Australia & New Zealand.
